Q: What is your cancellation policy? A: If you need to cancel your inspection, we would appreciate knowing as soon as you are aware of the need to cancel.  This allows us the ability to schedule the inspector with another job and not have lost earnings.  We do not charge for cancellations at all.  The only exception is if you have approved us to perform certain services in advance of the actual inspection date, for example setting a radon test device or performing ancillary services, then we expect to be paid for the services we have already performed.  Otherwise, we just need to be informed as soon as you are aware, that you need to cancel.  If you have paid online for your inspection we will process a refund, minus any fees for approved services already performed.  We hope to be able to work with you on any future inspection needs!

Q: Do you perform rental inspections? A: Yes, we do, but it depends on the kind of rental inspection that you need. We perform Denver rental license inspections; we perform Boulder rental license inspection; we perform Move-In Move-Out and periodic rental inspections. We also perform short-term rental inspections for the city of Lakewood. Please clarify which one you need?

Do you perform asbestos testing?
No, we do not.  Our inspectors during a standard home inspection will note the presences of any typically asbestos-containing material, and we will then recommend further evaluate and testing.  However there can be asbestos in materials that are not readily identifiable.  If you have concerns about asbestos it is best to hire a state-certified asbestos inspector.  We do have a comprehensive guide to asbestos material types on our site for information.

How do I schedule a re-inspection or follow up visit after my inspection?

To schedule a re-inspection or post-inspection follow up to a property, it is best to call or email our office at (719) 417-9960 or info@teamscott.com, or use our Contact Form on the website. Let us know which items you would like to be re-inspected. A nominal re-inspection fee may apply depending on the circumstances.

What is the company’s text number to schedule an inspection?  Our text number is 970-528-5510.  You can find our phone numbers and text number on the call-now page of our website.  Our customer service team is on 7 days a week during normal working hours to help schedule your inspection.  We also have online scheduling options where you can setup your own inspection if after hours.

How do I submit fixes made on a rental license inspection to have my report updated?
If the rental inspection was done for Denver or Boulder, we can revise the report based off pictures or receipts showing that improvements were made.  You can email these to info@teamscott.com.  We will then review and get back to you.  There is one exception, which is in City of Boulder, if the rental inspection failed due to missing smoke detector or CO detector, then the City requires us to physically re-inspect these items for safety reasons.  There is a small reinspection fee for us to return to inspection smoke, CO detectors for City of Boulder.  All other improvements made for either Denver or Boulder can be submitted via email and we can revise the report.

Do you perform weekend inspections?  We have several members of our team who perform home inspections on Saturdays.  The vast majority of our team work Monday through Friday.  You can try to schedule an inspection via our online scheduling system, and those inspectors who work Saturday will be listed as available.  If you have any difficulty scheduling, you can also reach out to our customer service team to check on availability.  Access to our online scheduler along with contact information is present on our Scheduling Options page.
